Happy Holidays

This was made over 20 years ago by me. I'm so glad my sister found it and gave it to me.



Kotikotoa löytyi seimiasetelma, jonka olen tehnyt yli 20 vuotta sitten. Mielestäni etenkin Joosef on todella näköinen.



Ompelin pikaisesti kaitaliinan pöydälle. Joulupuu ei kantanut palloja, joten laitoin pelkät valot.


We even have a Christmas tree with lights. Now it's time to eat chocolate and read books and eat chocolate and other goodies.

I do still knit! I dyed a skein of KnitPicks bare lace green and it came out so beautiful I just couldn't imagine parting from it. Then the new Knitty came out and there was a perfect pattern for this yarn, Citron (or in my case, Lime).

More color

I finally got the Luvotex- color set I've been waiting for. I just love all the mixing and measuring and counting, reminds me of the days when I studied chemistry. Laboratory work was always my favorite, not the boooring lectures. Only thing that bothers me with the Luvotex is that one is supposed to use a salt with it, but it's not clarified what for a salt that is (it's not NaCl, that they tell you). It's doesn't really matter, but I'm just really curious. I bet they don't tell, because it's cheaper elsewhere (plus it's not really necessary every time you dye, depends on what effect are you aiming for).
